MIAMI -- At the Seatrade Cruise Global conference Monday, Azamara Cruises will launch Destination Immersion Elevated, a program that will interweave onboard experiences with the places where Azamara visits.
"We are bringing the destination onboard with culinary and cultural events," said Azamara CEO Dondra Ritzenthaler. "Until now, we did destination immersion on shore, and we are elevating that and bringing it to our guest when onboard in the beautiful places we visit around the world."
The four-ship cruise line will add 150 "destination entrees," to its Market Fresh dining program, focusing on regional cuisines and local ingredients.
Azamara will continue holding its AzAmazing Evenings -- nighttime land tours and events that immerse guests in the destination -- while adding onboard performances by local entertainers and speakers native to regions visited.
Also, Azamara will introduce new itineraries across Asia and South America, visiting 25 new ports and adding 14 new city stays and 34 new AzAmazing Evening tours, said Ritzenthaler.
Through its partnership with PerryGolf, Azamara will offer golf-focused cruises in the Asia Pacific region in 2026, featuring courses in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Vietnam and Thailand.
