Celebrity's Galaxy realigns 2002 itinerary

NEW YORK -- Celebrity Cruises's 1,870-passsenger Galaxy will introduce a series of 10- and 11-night Caribbean cruises from Baltimore beginning next spring.

Nine 11-night sailings depart between March 25 and Oct. 21, 2002, with calls at Charleston, S.C., and St. Thomas, St. Maarten, San Juan and Nassau. Fares start at $849 per person, double.

Ten 10-night cruises between April 5 and Oct. 1 will call at Key West, Cozumel, Belize City, Nassau and Coco Cay, Celebrity's private Bahamian island. Fares start at $799 per person, double.

Meanwhile, passengers booked on seven-night Galaxy sailings from March 22 to April 19, 2002, will be rebooked on Celebrity's Infinity. Passengers booked on cruises from April 27 to Nov. 9, 2002, will have the option of rebooking on either Celebrity's Century or Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas.

A toll-free line, (888) 305-4626 has been established to assist guests booked on Galaxy's previous itineraries between March 22, 2002 and April 26, 2003.

Baltimore's port is within reasonable driving distance of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Virginia, according to Celebrity officials.
