Norwegian Cruise Line's terminal in Philadelphia will not be complete in time for cruise departures beginning April 16. Winter weather caused construction delays, according to NCL.

Instead of checking in at the port, guests will report to a nearby hotel, the Clarion Hotel Philadelphia International Airport. Check-in will take place in the hotel's ballroom, and shuttles will transport guests from the hotel to the pier. Guests will be screened under a tent at the pier.

Guests who purchased airport transfers through NCL will be taken directly to the Clarion, which also has parking for about $16 per day.

Upon disembarkation, guests will be shuttled to the hotel or the airport, depending on whether they purchased an airport transfer. Rideshare and taxi services will be available from the hotel.

Cruise ships haven't used Philadelphia's port in 15 years, and NCL has committed to homeporting in the city through March 2033.

The Norwegian Jewel will sail Bermuda and Canada/New England cruises from Philadelphia until mid-October. The Norwegian Pearl will arrive in Philly in November for year-round cruises through April 2028.
