MSC Cruises’ 3,500-passenger MSC Divina will be christened May 26 in Marseille, France, and depart the next day on a six-night inaugural cruise to Venice.
Following its maiden voyage, the ship will begin a series of seven-day Eastern Mediterranean sailings roundtrip from Venice and Bari, Italy, through October.
The Divina, the third in the line’s Fantasia class (following the Fantasia and Splendida), will have 69 suites in its exclusive MSC Yacht Club area.
The ship will have three restaurants and a Tex-Mex alternative dining venue, along with an Acqua Park, an MSC Aurea Spa and a 1,603-seat theater.
The Divina will be named in honor of MSC Cruises’ “godmother,” Italian actress Sophia Loren, and its decks will be named after the gods of Ancient Greece.
