Disney Cruise Line will add a French Quarter Lounge this fall to the Disney Wonder, complete with a life-size trolley car reminiscent of the vintage 1920s streetcar that runs on the St. Charles line in New Orleans.

Disney said the lounge "will evoke an airy outdoor space in New Orleans, surrounded by touches of iconic architecture such as wrought-iron balconies, classic brick walls and shutter-framed windows."

It said references to the Tennessee Williams classic "Streetcar Named Desire," set in New Orleans, will be hung on the walls, adding to the ambience.

Disney said the lounge will pair well with its Tiana's Place Restaurant on the Disney Wonder, both inspired by the Disney animated feature "The Princess and the Frog," which takes place in New Orleans.

Homeported in Galveston this past winter, the 1,754-passenger ship will sail from New Orleans for the first time, beginning Feb. 7, 2020.

The Disney Wonder will be the second ship to get New Orleans-themed space in 2020. Carnival's  Mardi Gras will have a French Quarter area when it debuts at Port Canaveral next year.
