Edie Rodriguez
Edie Rodriguez, most recently president and CEO of Crystal
Cruises, will move to Ponant as its Americas brand chair and corporate
special adviser, a new position.
In the role, Rodriguez is responsible for increasing
Ponant's brand awareness in the Americas with travel agencies, media,
influencers and prospective passengers.
Navin Sawhney remains CEO of Ponant Americas and is responsible
for company profit and loss, strategy and implementation.
Rodriguez departed Crystal in September with the hiring of
former Disney Cruise Line executive Tom Wolber as the new president and CEO.
Ponant CEO Jean Emmanuel Sauvee, said, "With two great
seasoned cruise industry experts like Navin and Edie on our team, I'm convinced
that Ponant in the USA will achieve its full capability in terms of market
share."
The French small-ship luxury line has four new expedition
ships in the works with two due in 2018.
