While remaining president of Seabourn, Tamis will also oversee the guest experience and product development for both Seabourn and HAL.
Michael Smith, who currently leads guest experience and product development at HAL and Seabourn, will retire May 1. After retirement, Smith will serve as a ship refurbishment consultant.
Tamis' expanded responsibilities at Seabourn take effect immediately, and he will grow into the new responsibilities at HAL in the coming months.

Michael Smith
This is not Tamis' first time overseeing the guest experience. Earlier in his career, he served as Carnival Cruise Line's senior vice president of guest operations. He also led hotel and onboard operations for Royal Caribbean International.
Tamis has been president of Seabourn since 2024.
