Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line canceled its scheduled sailing
on Sept. 5 to do a humanitarian cruise to Freeport, Grand Bahama, which was hit
hard by Hurricane Dorian.
The Grand Celebration ship was loaded with donations of
food, water and other relief supplies, as well as first responders and
volunteers.
The ship, which will dock in Lucayan harbor on the west side
of the island, is also bringing home Bahamian residents who were stranded in South
Florida due to the hurricane.
The Grand Celebration will return to Palm Beach on Sept. 7
with eligible Bahamas residents who wish to evacuate to the U.S.
Bahamas Paradise operates two-day pleasure cruises out of Palm
Beach, Fla., to Grand Bahama Island. The line also has canceled its Sept. 7, 9 and 11 sailings to
Grand Bahama.
