Rob Coleman, a 24-year Holland America Line (HAL) veteran, has been promoted to vice president, North America sales by the cruise company, effective April 10.

Coleman most recently was vice president of charter, incentive and series partnerships for HAL. He is credited with building alliances with charterers, incentive groups, series operators and wholesalers.

He will oversee strategic accounts, national accounts, field sales and charters and incentives in his new role.

Coleman will replace Michelle Sutter who the company said is leaving to pursue a career in people and culture outside of the cruise industry. He will report to Beth Bodensteiner, HAL's chief commercial officer.
