Holland America Line released designs for the interior of its next ship, Koningsdam, which is due in February 2016.
They include an atrium capped by a ceiling "skylight" that serves as a backdrop for subtly changing high-definition projections.
Guests will look up by day and see wispy cirrus clouds floating in an azure sky or images of light in water.
By evening, the atrium takes on dramatic lighting hues or reflects the starlit constellations of the night sky.
The ship’s main dining room will span two floors and be framed by views of the sea. The centerpiece of the room is a curved copper sheath surrounding a two-story wine tower.
The Queen’s Lounge entertainment venue also occupies two floors and features extensive use of wood, fluid waveforms and light, HAL said.
Designs for the 2,650-passenger ship were created by Adam Tihany and Bjorn Storbraaten.
