Luxury hospitality group Jumeirah is branching into yacht cruising, offering itineraries on the 12-passenger Maltese Falcon superyacht, an expansion of its Privé collection.

The 2006-built three-mast sailing yacht will cruise the Mediterranean in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter, with its inaugural voyage departing from Antigua this month.

Jumeirah Privé is a series of experiences designed for ultra-wealthy travelers. It launched with Jumeirah Thanda Island, a 12-acre private island resort in the Shungimbili Island Marine Reserve in Tanzania.

The Maltese Falcon has four double cabins, a VIP deck on the flybridge and a suite the length of its beam. It also includes a massage room, fitness studio and three-deck atrium.

Guests will have access to recreational watercraft, kayaks, motorized surfboards, paddleboards and snorkeling equipment.

Destinations in Europe include the Balearic Islands, the French Riviera, Monaco, Sardinia, Italy's Amalfi Coast, Croatia, Montenegro, Greece and Turkey. In the Caribbean, it will visit the Bahamas, St. Martin and St. Barth in addition to Antigua.

The ship underwent engineering enhancements as well as a design refresh for its Jumeirah debut.

"Our role in this partnership will be to further elevate the onboard journey through our culinary expertise, wellness experiences and the warm spirit of Arabian hospitality that defines Jumeirah," said Jumeirah CEO Thomas Meier.
