Former Celebrity Cruises CEO Lisa Lutoff-Perlo's autobiography, "Making Waves: A Woman's Rise to the Top Using Smarts, Heart, and Courage" (Matt Holt Books, 2024), was released on Tuesday.

Lisa Lutoff-Perlo
The book chronicles a 40-year career that saw Lutoff-Perlo rise high in a male-dominated industry. Part business advice, part inspiration, part confessional, the narrative takes her from developing a cruise sales plan for a travel agency to a variety of roles within what is now the Royal Caribbean Group, including stints as a district sales manager, vice president of onboard revenue, head of hotel operations, executive vice president of operations, and president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises.
Lutoff-Perlo is currently Royal Caribbean Group's vice chairman, external affairs.
Much of the book focuses on her philosophy, which blends the values and insights she credits with helping her carve out a unique place in the various roles where she was assigned.
The book was written with Sarah McArthur and the forward is written by Bob Sullivan, chief commercial officer and president of Northstar Travel Group, Travel Weekly's parent company.
It is available on Amazon and other online book sellers.
