MSC Cruises is building its relationship with Lego, dedicating more programming on its next ship, the MSC World America.
The ship will host a parade every cruise with Lego characters, introduce a Lego Family Zone where parents and children can play together, and hold a Lego game show where parents and children can compete in timed challenges.
Other new elements to MSC’s family programming on the World America include a family disco competition and a game show called “Boxes,” featuring a mystery box with a blind challenge. The ship will also have an adventure course in the Sportsplex designed for teenagers, where they hit targets to earn points. There will be a virtual reality experience at Luna Park.
The 5,200-passenger World America, due out in April and sailing from Miami, will also feature the brand’s largest Doremiland kids area. At more than 10,000 square feet, the area will include seven rooms designed for kids up to 17 years old. The area will offer the latest game consoles on the market along with light and sound effects.
MSC will provide baby services in collaboration with Chicco, a global baby brand and longtime partner of MSC, and its kids clubs will be open from 9 a.m. until midnight throughout the voyage.
The ship will also have an outdoor park with a high ropes course, a Cliffhanger attraction, a family dwelling area and a playground inspired by the lighthouse at Ocean Cay.
