MSC Cruises appointed Neil Palomba COO of
MSC Cruises USA.
Palomba will report
to Rick Sasso, president and CEO of MSC Cruises USA, and will be
responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Fort
Lauderdale-based North American general sales and marketing arm of
MSC Crociere SA with a focus on organizing the U.S. operations to
promote profitable growth, according to the cruise line.
"Neil has
established himself as a vital member of MSC Cruises during a key
period in our company's growth," Sasso said. "Neil demonstrates
exceptional organizational and managerial skills that are certain
to take MSC Cruises to new heights."
Palomba, who began
his career with MSC at sea as a night steward, most recently was
charged with overseeing the building of the Lirica and the Opera
and their transfer from the shipyard to the MSC fleet. He also took
delivery of the Armonia when the line acquired it in 2004 from
Festival Cruises.
