Princess Cruises' Majestic Princess has a new look for its spring and summer season in the Mediterranean with a variety of new eateries and stores, including a new poolside pizza restaurant.
The renovation was completed in two weeks during a drydock in Palermo, Italy. New eateries and bars include:
• O'Malley's Irish Pub, complete with live music, which replaces Vines Wine Bar
• Sabatini's Italian Trattoria with handmade pasta and slow-braised meats, replacing Harmony Restaurant
• Good Spirits at Sea, a bar with mixology demonstrations and based off of the TV show "Good Spirits," which replaces Piazza Bar
• Bellini's Cocktail Bar, occupying what had been Good Spirits At Sea and Princess Photo Gallery
• Alfredo's Slice with made-to-order Neapolitan pizza, replacing Chopsticks Noodle & Dim Sum Bar by the pool
• Another poolside eatery, the Salty Dog Grill, replaces Lobster Bar & Grill. Salty Dog serves burgers, hot dogs, tacos and loaded fries.
New stores include:
• Confectionary, a Victorian-style destination for sweets, at what had been the Calypso Cove shop
• Effy Jewelry at the former Calyspo Cove location and with an additional space for consultations and seminars at the former Cartier location. An Effy Lounge will be dedicated to curating select luxury pieces.
The 3,560-passenger Majestic Princess will sail the Mediterranean through July, Canada/New England in August and September, and the Caribbean to finish out the year.
