The Norwegian Escape is back in service following a month of repairs after the ship grounded on a channel bed in March while leaving the Dominican Republic.

Norwegian Cruise Line originally estimated repairs would take a week. Since then, four cruises had been canceled in addition to the voyage that was cut short when the grounding happened.

The Escape resumed sailing out of Port Canaveral on Saturday with a seven-night Eastern Caribbean voyage.

The Escape sets off on a transatlantic voyage on April 25 from New York to Rome, where it will sail Mediterranean itineraries until September before returning to Port Canaveral to sail Caribbean cruises in November.
