Norwegian Cruise Line's new ship, the Norwegian Luna, is in service.
The first guests boarded March 10 in Civitavecchia, Italy, and the ship is now sailing an inaugural transatlantic cruise to its Miami homeport. It will be christened there on March 27.

The Luna is the second ship in NCL's Prima Plus class and a sister ship to the Norwegian Aqua. Both are about 10% larger than the earlier Prima-class ships, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.
New features debuting on the Luna include Luna Midway, an outdoor area with carnival-inspired games; Horizon Park, an area with lawn games; and a multilevel obstacle course called Moon Climber.
The Luna features a new original concert-style show called "Elton: A Celebration of Elton John"; a classic rock show, "Syd Norman's Presents: A Tribute to the Eagles"; and a sci-fi show called "HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder."
Through November, the ship will sail short Bahamas cruises and seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries. Then it will sail Western Caribbean cruises before heading to New York in April 2027 for Bermuda itineraries.
