Princess Cruises features new Japan-Alaska voyage in 2024

Princess Cruises unveiled a new Japan-Alaska cruise in 2024 on the Royal Princess.

The 15-day Japan and North Pacific Crossing cruise departs Tokyo on April 27, 2024, and will call in Miyako, Aomori, Hakodate, Muroran and Kushiro in Japan before sailing seven days to Alaska. 

The cruise will call at the northern Tohoku and Hokkaido regions during cherry blossom season. The sailing ends in Whittier, Alaska. 

Guests have the option to combine the cruise with the Voyage of the Glaciers sailing on the Royal Princess, which will cruise Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park then call in Sitka and Juneau before overnighting in Vancouver. Debarkation will be in Vancouver, ending a 22-day voyage

The 2024 Japan season will mark the debut of the 3,560-passenger Royal Princess in Japan, after the ship completes its Australia season. The ship, built in 2013, will be the first Royal-class ship in the region. 

The Diamond Princess will sail full-time in Japan from March through August of 2024, offering seven to 23-day roundtrip voyages out of Tokyo.
