Ritz-Carlton floats out first yacht: Travel Weekly

Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection said it held a launch ceremony for its first ship at the Hijos De J. Barreras Shipyard in Vigo, Spain.

The ship was moved down a slipway and into the water for the first time. Construction will continue on the interior finishes of the 298-passenger ship for the next year or so.

Ritz-Carlton said it will hold a naming ceremony for the as yet unnamed ship in December.

The company, a partnership between Marriott International’s Ritz-Carlton brand and investment firm Oaktree Capital Management, will hold a christening prior to putting the ship in service in February 2020.
