Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection said the name of its first vessel will be Evrima, a name of Greek origin meaning "discovery."

The 298-passenger ship was initially called Azora, but that name was withdrawn in 2018.

Ritz-Carlton had originally hoped to debut the ship in January 2020 in Fort Lauderdale prior to next year's Super Bowl game in Miami.

After delays at the Hijos de J. Barreras shipyard in Vigo, Spain, Ritz-Carlton canceled voyages through June 13, 2020, when it now hopes to sail the ship on its maiden voyage.

A unit of Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. has a contract to manage the Evrima, which is owned by private equity firm Oaktree Capital Management along with senior managers of the brand.
