A project that was postponed due to the pandemic, the refurbishment of Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas will happen in 2025.

The cruise line plans a $100 million renovation of the Oasis-class ship, which will re-enter service in April with new features. Once finished, the ship will sail seven-night western Mediterranean cruises from Barcelona.

The Pesky Parrot tiki bar, which debuted last month on the new Utopia of the Seas (Royal's sixth Oasis-class ship), is coming to the Allure. The bar features virtual windows to beach views and an animatronic parrot. Royal will also add the Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar, which is currently on the Wonder of the Seas and the Utopia.

The ship will emerge from its drydock with resort-style pools on a reimagined pool deck, with a wider variety of seating and shade among casitas, in-pool loungers and daybeds.

The Allure will get the Perfect Storm waterslides -- the Cyclone and Typhoon racing slides and the SuperCell bowl slide. The Ultimate Abyss dry slide will be added, as well.

The Solarium will introduce new elements, including the Samba Grill.

The Social298 teen space will feature video games, music, movies and places to relax.

The ship will also include new Ultimate Panoramic Suites above the ship's bridge, offering 200-degree ocean views.

The Allure upgrade was originally planned to be completed in 2020. The initiative is a continuation of the line's Royal Amplified program, introduced in 2018

The Allure of the Seas debuted in December 2010 as Royal Caribbean's second Oasis-class ship.
