Royal Caribbean Group has removed its private destination of Labadee, Haiti, from itineraries through at least October, a continuation of a pause on visits that began in April, the company confirmed Friday.

The April decision came amidst reports of surging gang violence in the country, and a spokesperson for the line said it has continued its pause "out of an abundance of caution."

"We have communicated with guests directly on this change," the spokesperson said.

This will be the second consecutive year in which the destination will be closed to cruises for at least half of the year. In 2024, Royal Caribbean stopped visiting Labadee in March and returned in October.
