The SeaDream Innovation would have been SeaDream's first new ship.

SeaDream Yacht Club will not proceed with a new luxury expedition ship.

The SeaDream Innovation had been scheduled for delivery in September 2021.

SeaDream and Damen Shipyards "have in good faith and with mutual understanding decided not to proceed," SeaDream said in a statement.

"The response from our past guests and the market in general has been overwhelming, despite the ship not being scheduled for delivery for almost two years," said Andreas Brynestad, SeaDream executive vice president. "Since the ship will not be delivered, all booked guests will be contacted and issued full refunds in the coming days."

Owner and chairman Atle Brynestad said SeaDream is pursuing other newbuild opportunities.
