Carnival Cruise Line will create a seagoing version of a new
chicken restaurant opened by Shaquille O'Neal.
The former NBA star, who has been serving as "chief fun
officer" in Carnival promotions, opened a Big Chicken restaurant in Las
Vegas in October.
The first Big Chicken outlet at sea will be added to the
Carnival Radiance (the current Carnival Victory) in a $200 million
refurbishment scheduled for 2020.
The menu at Carnival's Big Chicken will feature a variety of
fried chicken sandwiches and fries, free of charge. Breakfast also will be
offered with choices like biscuit sandwiches with chicken and egg.
