Star Cruises will rename the Norwegian Wind
the SuperStar Aquarius when the vessel makes its Asia debut on June
11 as Star's newest ship after the Norwegian Cruise Line vessel
transfers to sister company Star's fleet.
The SuperStar
Aquarius will be the third Star Cruises will positioned in Hong
Kong, joining the Star Pisces and the Wasa Queen.
Star Cruises said
that the vessel will sail a series of one-night cruises out of
Singapore between June 11 and 16 before heading to Hong Kong on
June 17, where it will begin sailing daily cruises on June 22, in
addition to a series of two-day cruises to Xiamen, China, during
the summer, and two-night cruises to Haikou, China, in the fall and
winter.
The SuperStar
Aquarius's relocation cruise on June 17 will call at Ho Chi Minh
City, Vietnam, and Sanya, China, before arriving in Hong
Kong.
Star said that the
ship's "daily departures provide an excellent opportunity to
capture the breathtaking skyline of Hong Kong as she embarks on
cruises that offer a spectacular array of onboard dining,
recreation and entertainment options."
The 50,760-ton
SuperStar Aquarius has a lower-berth passenger capacity of
1,529.
