Top sales executive Lynn Torrent plans to leave Carnival Cruise Line at the end of August, a company spokeswoman confirmed.
Torrent is executive vice president for sales and guest services, responsible for global sales, reservations, guest services and port embarkation.
A 15-year Carnival Corp. veteran, Torrent joined Carnival Cruise Line in 2008, a year after former president Gerry Cahill was elevated to the top job at Carnival. At the time, Torrent was serving as president and CEO of Costa Cruises’ North American operation. Torrent had worked prior to that as a vice president of marketing services for Carnival Corp.
“Lynn has been a key member of the senior leadership team at Carnival Cruise Line and instrumental in elevating our commercial organization,” said Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy. “I am extremely grateful for Lynn’s support since I joined Carnival a year ago. Lynn leaves a truly lasting mark on our organization, and we are fortunate to have had her as part of the Carnival family.”
