A new marketing campaign for Windstar Cruises underscores that the small-ship line delivers unexpected moments to guests.

Windstar president John Delaney said the "Unexpected" ads will tell Windstar's story boldly and with more flair than before.

"Windstar goes to great lengths to surprise our guests with special moments and memories that last a lifetime. I'm excited to show off our new ad campaign and marketing materials that shine a light on the unexpected delights that travelers encounter on a Windstar cruise," said Windstar President John Delaney.

Ads were developed by Windstar's marketing team, Seattle-based agency Wax Exp and brand strategy firm Red Tango, also of Seattle.

The creative team traveled to souks, bazaars and beaches in Morocco and the Italian Riviera for active seaside paddling adventures and shore excursions like camel riding, capturing experiences that Windstar guests can do on a small-ship cruise.

A print campaign started in late September and this month the Unexpected campaign goes digital, with prominent placement on Windstar's website, social media and in digital advertising.

The 2018 brochure is being mailed to past guests. Agents can request one on the website. A sweepstakes will run in social media channels in October with the prize a suite on a Star Breeze 10-day cruise to Spain and Portugal departing Nov. 18, 2018.
