Dallas APTA chapter will hold session on Nov. 30

DALLAS -- The local chapter of the Association for the Promotion of Tourism to Africa (APTA) set Nov. 30 for a dinner meeting focused on Morocco as a tourism destination.

In a session titled An Evening in Morocco, the speaker will be Charlene Vicenzo of Discovery Tours in Chicago, an expert on African nation.

Her presentation, which is the centerpiece of the group's quarterly educational meeting, is intended to introduce travel agents and other travel professionals to tourism in Morocco and will include a slide show intended to reveal the country's "many magical destinations," according to the APTA.

All travel professionals are invited.

For members, the fee, which covers dinner, is $20; for nonmembers, it is $24.

The 6 p.m. dinner is set for the Marrakesh Restaurant at 5027 W. Lovers Lane in Dallas.

The presentation will follow at 6:45 p.m.

APTA said it is dedicated to the proposition that tourism to Africa aids international relations, provides financial support for developing countries and creates the incentive and means to protect Africa's unique wildlife, habitat and cultural diversity.
