NEW YORK -- The Spanish Tour Operators Association (STOA) and the
Association of Tour Operators to Portugal (ATOP) will stage a
series of fall educational seminars for travel agents on the East
Coast.
The seminars will feature country presentations by the National
Tourist Office of Portugal and the Tourist Office of Spain;
presentations by tour operators; tips on how to sell Spain and
Portugal to clients; how to maximize commissions, and rotating
roundtable discussions.
Tour operators will award prizes at the end of the workshop.
The schedule and locations are as follows:
Nov. 2, Melville, N.Y., at the Marriott.
Nov. 28, Philadelphia, Park Hyatt.
Nov. 29, Tarrytown, N.Y.; Tarrytown Hilton.
Nov. 30, Boston; Logan Airport Hilton.The Melville workshop will be in the evening with registration
from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., concluding with dinner at 8 p.m.
The other seminars will be morning events beginning with
registration at 8:30 a.m. and closing with a luncheon. The
registration fee is $10, which is refundable after the first
booking to either country.
