We'll come right out and say it: ASTA has been doing some good work lately.

As Travel Weekly legal columnist Mark Pestronk put it in a recent column, ASTA's agency handbook on regulatory compliance is a gold mine of practical guidance that is worth the cost of membership.

ASTA is also making steady progress in breaking down state regulatory barriers and standardizing procedures for agents selling travel insurance.

The old line that "ASTA doesn't do anything for me" is no excuse for not joining, because it simply ain't so.
