We believe that tourism and transportation are going to remain vital components of the economy no matter what the government does, but we also believe that as long as we have a Transportation Department, as well as a tourism unit with the Commerce Department, we ought to have good people in charge of them.
Thus we are delighted that the Senate has confirmed Hyatt stakeholder Penny Pritzker as secretary of commerce and Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx as transportation secretary.
May they do good work.
