In 2017, Eurail will raise the age limit for Youth Pass eligibility to under 28 from under 26.

Travelers who are younger than 28 on their first day of travel are now eligible for a Youth Pass, which offers savings up to 35% off adult First Class Pass prices.

The new Youth Pass age limit comes on the heel of an extended Eurail Pass booking period, which recently changed from six to 11 months.  This means that travelers can take advantage of current prices and discounts, but do not have to start their European vacation for up to 11 months from the purchase date.
