AMResorts and Hesperia Hotels & Resorts marked the opening of the Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa in Spain on May 16.
Located in the town of Peguera on the island of Mallorca, the adults-only resort, formerly the Hesperia Villamil, is the first Secrets Resorts & Spas property in Europe and the brand's 16th hotel.
The property, which underwent a $3.5 million renovation, is owned by Spain-based Hesperia.
Each of the 162 guestrooms and suites offer views of the Mediterranean Sea, with select suites featuring direct access to a new, exclusive swim-up pool. Also new are two sunrooms, including one reserved for Preferred Club guests.
The property also offers reservation-free dining at four on-property restaurants, five bars with a wide selection of premium spirits and minibars that are refreshed daily.
Guests also have access to a heated outdoor pool overlooking the sea, a fitness center and entertainment, including live musical performances and themed parties.
The Secrets Resort & Spa brand operates properties in the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Mexico. The Secrets Lanzarote Resort & Spa in the Canary Islands is expected to open by the end of the year.
