The five-star Ca' di Dio hotel will open in Venice in May.
The 66-room property will be located in a historical "ecclesiastical compound," which has hosted crusaders, pilgrims and tourists over more than eight centuries.
Located on the Riva Ca' di Dio overlooking the Venetian Lagoon and adjacent to the Arsenal and the Biennale gardens, the property is within walking distance of St. Mark's Square.
The hotel will be part of the V-Retreats collection, a new class of properties managed by Italy's VOI Hotels.

The project was created by Spanish architect Patricia Urquiola and is being designed to resemble a Venetian mansion, with elements like Murano glass and custom finishes.
Accommodations will comprise 57 suites and nine deluxe rooms spread over three floors. Ten suites will offer a view of the lagoon and San Giorgio Maggiore Island; two suites will have large roof terraces overlooking the San Marco basin.
The Alchemia Bar and the Essentia Restaurant will be situated in two internal courtyards, and the indoor-outdoor VE-RO Restaurant will overlook the Venetian Lagoon.
Other amenities will include the Spa Pura, a boutique and meetings and event space for small groups.
The hotel's side canal entrance will provide direct docking for water taxis and the hotel's water-transfer cruisers.
