Construction has begun on the Moxy hotel, a Marriott International property, in Copenhagen.
The 228-room Moxy, scheduled to open in March, will be operated by Danish franchisee Core Hospitality, a sister company of Zleep Hotels, a growing Danish chain of no-frills, affordable hotels.
Designed to appeal to millennial travelers, guestrooms will be outfitted with sound-reducing walls; 42-inch, LCD, flat-screen televisions; and USB ports and will feature free WiFi and an uncluttered, flexible design aesthetic.
A second Core-operated Moxy Hotel is set to open in Bergen, Norway, in 2020.
