The U.K.'s transformation into a culinary hot spot just reached another milestone, according to VisitBritain.

This year, the destination added 28 Michelin stars across 21 restaurants, including for The Ledbury in London, which was awarded three Michelin stars.

This year's additions bring the U.K.'s tally to 154 one-star, 23 two-star and nine three-star restaurants, spanning England, Scotland and Wales.

In addition, six new Green Star winners highlight a commitment to eco-conscious dining.
