International hospitality group Edyn expanded its lifestyle apartment-hotel brand Locke beyond the U.K for the first time with the opening of the Zanzibar Locke in Dublin in December.
Situated on Ormond Quay overlooking the River Liffey, the Zanzibar Locke was developed on the site of the Zanzibar Nightclub, set in a historic Georgian building.

The property was restored by local contractors and artists to retain its original character, in combination with brand-specific design, living spaces and custom furniture associated with the Locke portfolio.
The 160 studio apartments are equipped with kitchens and living areas and offer access to complimentary coworking, meetings and events spaces, a workout studio, food and drink outlets and various cultural programs.
Apartments range in size from about 82 square feet for short-stay City Studios to just over 260-square-foot Duplex Suites for long-term stays.
The apartment-hotel, or aparthotel, also houses Baraza, an all-day restaurant serving Irish-inspired small plates and craft cocktails.
Locke's fourth London property, the Kingsland Locke is slated to launch in January in London's Dalston neighborhood, followed by a second location in Dublin, the Beckett Locke in the North Docks neighborhood, opening in March, and the Schwan Locke and the WunderLocke, both opening in Munich in May.
Opening rates at the Zanzibar Locke start from about $133 per night.
