The Hanalei Colony Resort, located on the north shore of Kauai, debuted a new weekly luau Aug. 4.

The new show is scheduled to begin Thursdays around 6 p.m. at the beachfront Mediterannean Gourmet restaurant, which sits right next to the Hanalei Colony.

The luau features traditional hula, chanting and Hawaiian music along with Tahitian drums and dance. Meanwhile, dinner includes Hawaiian and local favorites like kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, chicken long rice, lomi lomi salmon, Hanalei poi and haupia.

Pricing starts at $83 for adults, $60 ages 12 to 20 and $35 for ages 11 and under.

The beachfront, 45-unit Hanalei Colony Resort is not far from the end of Kauai's Kuhio Hwy about 10 minutes from the small town of Hanalei.
