Outrigger Hospitality Group has announced that its flagship hotel, the 498-room Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu, will be undergoing a $100 million transformation.
Highlights of the renovation include reimagined guestrooms, redesigned arrival and public spaces, and expanding the Voyager 47 Club Lounge to three times its former size.
The new guestrooms are expected to debut in the third quarter of 2026, with the full transformation to follow.
The project will also focus on the thoughtful integration of cultural elements rooted in place and genealogy of the land, such as references to Waikiki's Apuakehau Stream.
"This stretch of Waikiki is both culturally significant and foundational to Outrigger's identity," said Jeff Wagoner, CEO of Outrigger Hospitality Group. "Our role is to steward this iconic resort with care while thoughtfully evolving the experience to meet the expectations of today's traveler. This investment reflects a clear direction for the company: advancing our position in barefoot luxury -- grounded in place, culture and connection -- while continuing to lead the market and inspire lasting guest loyalty."
While under construction, the resort will remain open and fully operational.
