A longtime Hawaii visitor favorite, the Bull Shed, known for its steaks, seafood and prime rib, has opened its first location outside of Kauai at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel on the Big Island of Hawaii.
Operated by Castle Resorts & Hotels, the restaurant features a newly renovated dining room.
"Bull Shed has earned a loyal following over more than five decades, and we're excited to bring that same experience to Hawaii Island for the first time," said Matt Bailey, president of Castle Resorts & Hotels, in a news release. "Guests can expect the signature steaks, prime rib, seafood and warm hospitality that Bull Shed is known for, along with a limited selection of Hilo-inspired specialties that celebrate our new home while staying true to the Bull Shed tradition."
Led by executive chef Ryan Brannigan, the Bull Shed in Hilo serves a daily breakfast buffet, including dishes like paniolo loco moco, Monday to Friday from 6:30 to 10 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 6:30 to 11 a.m.
A daily pau hana happy hour from 2:30 to 5 p.m. features an appetizer menu, handcrafted cocktails and live entertainment, and dinner is served nightly from 5 to 9 p.m. On Fridays and Saturdays, guests can choose the popular prime rib and crab buffet.
The original Bull Shed at the ISO Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham is temporarily closed for renovations.
