As hotels begin to reopen around the world, some luxury companies are forging new partnerships with medical companies to assure guests of their commitment to the new normal in travel: a hyperfocus on health and safety.

Among the more noteable programs, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts recently announced a collaboration with Johns Hopkins Medicine International, the global division of health care and research leader Johns Hopkins Medicine, to validate its new global health and safety program, Lead With Care.

And Montage International said it is partnering with digital health and primary care organization One Medical to provide 24/7 virtual care services to employees and guests at all of its U.S. properties.

"Within this new environment, our singular goal is to provide guests, residents and employees with the confidence and assurance that their health and safety is our first priority," John Davison, president and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, said in a statement. "We are incredibly proud to work alongside the renowned experts at Johns Hopkins Medicine International, leveraging their global expertise to strengthen our already stringent health and safety measures through our new Lead With Care program."

Under the program, Johns Hopkins Medicine experts will validate the new Four Seasons global program and provide ongoing, real-time guidance on protocols rolling out globally.

Some of the new elements include appointing a hygiene officer at each Four Seasons property to oversee the new protocols and putting kits in every room with masks, hand sanitizer and sanitization wipes, with additional masks supplied on demand and special training for employees.

To ensure the protocols meet the rapidly changing discoveries about the Covid-19 virus, the partners have also established a Covid-19 Advisory Board of Four Seasons leadership and top experts from Johns Hopkins Medicine International.

Montage International, meanwhile, said that upon  reopening its U.S.-based Montage Hotels & Resorts and Pendry Hotels & Resorts, it will offer all guests a 30-day membership to One Medical's full suite of digital health services. Additionally, the hospitality company will provide annual One Medical memberships to all of its US-based associates, providing them with seamless digital health at any time, from anywhere in the U.S.

"Having convenient access to reliable health care, both digitally and in-person, is more important than ever for travelers," said Amir Dan Rubin, Chair & CEO of One Medical. "We are pleased to pair One Medical's modernized, service-oriented, and technology-powered approach to health care with Montage International's commitment to excellence for its associates and guests."
