Acapulco has inaugurated its newly expanded terminal. The airport now has the capacity for handling 1.3 million passengers.
The airport now measures 204,514 square feet, an increase of nearly 76,000 square feet. The new terminal has an eco-conscious design that aims to increase environmental safety. It all has state-of-the-art scanner machines and a traffic light system for reviewing suitcases, QR codes for migration and passport scanners and more. New restaurants, cafes, and shops have been included, as well.
