FlowRider DoublePalace Resorts' Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort in Cancun will add the FlowRider Double, a wave simulator, to its list of resort amenities on Nov. 15, becoming the first property in Mexico to do so.

The simulator creates two lanes of endless waves, pumping thousands of gallons of water over a riding surface. Participants can carve a turn, do maneuvers and cut through the waves.

Kids, and inexperienced riders, can bodyboard on the FlowRider, while more advanced riders can use standup flowboards.

The simulator will be introduced as an upgraded feature on the list of guest amenities. The price is $75 per hour; access to the wave pool will be limited to a maximum of 10 people at a time.

On bookings of five nights or more through Dec. 15 for travel through Dec. 23, the resort is offering a $1,500 credit per room that can be used towards room upgrades, spa treatments, golf outings, resort amenities (including the FlowRider), wedding packages and off-site tours.
