The Seadust Cancun Family Resort has launched a propertywide Waste Separation Program. The program's goal is to reduce waste production by developing ecoinitiatives to recycle as many materials as possible.
The company's program is expected to surpass the 35,000 pounds of waste recycled last year.
In the first phase of the program, the resort will do away with disposable containers, including cups, plates and bowls. Next, the Seadust Cancun will curtail the use of plastic straws by providing them only to guests who ask for them. Finally, the program will provide bins and signage throughout the property to educate guests and staff on recycling.
