The
Cape, a Thompson Hotel in Los Cabos, Mexico,
is partnering with Mansa Vida, a new adventure-travel production company founded
by pro surfers Rob Machado and Tim Curran, to host a retreat that will explore
the sport, music and art of surf culture. Led by surfing veterans including
Curran, Damien Hobgood and photographer Tom Servais, the three-night retreat will
cover all aspects of surfing.
The
retreat will take place May 19 to 22 and includes overnight stays at the
resort; a hands-on workshop with the pros; a live acoustic musical performance
by Curran, held on the hotel rooftop; screenings of cult surf films; and a surf
photography viewing and discussion. The package also includes morning yoga, all
breakfasts, surf swag and roundtrip airport transfers from the San Jose del
Cabo airport.
Packages
start at $3,981 for three nights in a double occupancy room or $2,291 for
single travelers. An optional five-night package in a double occupancy room is
available for $5,920. Rates do not include tax and resort fees.
