Once again, CruiseWorld offers the opportunity to tour some of the newest ships on the water.
The deadline to register for ship inspections is Friday, Oct. 5. In order to be eligible to participate, travel advisers must also be registered for CruiseWorld.
Space on each ship inspection is limited and spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Inspections are scheduled for Nov. 10 and 11 in both Fort Lauderdale and Miami and are sponsored by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau.
This year's ship inspection roster includes Carnival Cruise Line's Carnival Horizon; Celebrity Cruises' Infinity; Holland America Line's Koningsdam and Nieuw Amsterdam; MSC Cruises' Seaside; Norwegian Cruise Line's Norwegian Getaway; and Royal Caribbean International's Allure of the Seas and Harmony of the Seas. Details and updates can be found at www.cruiseworldshow.com/ship-inspections.
"Ship inspections are an essential part of the travel adviser educational process," said Alicia Evanko-Lewis, senior vice president of events for Northstar Travel Group. "Experiencing a ship in person helps advisers best match their clients to brands and gives them firsthand knowledge of cabins, common spaces and dining."
CruiseWorld, taking place from Nov. 7 to 9 in Fort Lauderdale, also features c-suite keynote speakers, supplier workshops, peer-to-peer training, a one-day Exhibitor Showcase, sponsored meal functions and significant networking opportunities.
The conference will include three days of general sessions, during which attendees will hear updates, insights and trends from the top leadership in the cruise and tour community. Breakout sessions will cover every segment of the leisure travel space. Certification programs and CLIA classes are also offered.
The signature one-day Exhibitor Showcase will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, with companies representing diverse segments of the travel industry including airlines, attractions, business tools, car rental, cruise, destinations, hotels and resorts, professional services, tour operators and packaged vacations. Suppliers interested in joining the Exhibitor Showcase should contact Emmy Morales.
CruiseWorld's robust programming provides value for all types of travel advisers, from the home-based professional to the cruise-centered agents, the seasoned veterans and those new to the industry.
