Following an extensive renovation project, the adults-only, all-inclusive Bungalows Key Largo will officially reopen on Dec. 19 and is now accepting reservations. The hotel is located 63 miles south of Miami, and the renovation project included full restoration of the Beach House accommodations, the two restaurants as well as Hemingway's Bar, the main pool area and Zen Garden Spa.
The property closed due to a small fire in the Beach House, the hotel's main building, in May. The Beach House included the Living Room, two restaurants and a bar.
The hotel features 135 private bungalows (with rates starting at $998 per person, per night) over 12 acres, each with a veranda and oversize soaking tub and garden shower. Bogie & Bacall's, one of the two main restaurants, includes multicourse fine dining with wine pairings, and Fish Tales is a resort-casual seafood restaurant. Both restaurants have been fully renovated following the resort's closure. The renovated spa features a Himalayan salt room and eucalyptus steam room.
All-inclusive rates cover around-the-clock golf cart pickup and drop-off service as well as food (including fish fries and pig roasts); premium beverages; resort amenities; use of water toys and beach cruisers; activities such as morning yoga, cooking and mixology classes; and sunset happy hours.
