Three downtown Las Vegas hotels are treating Canadian dollars as U.S. dollars across select room, gaming and beverage offerings through Aug. 31.
In the At Par program at Circa Resort & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, Canadian guests will receive the
At Par rate at check-in, paying the room rate shown in U.S. dollars, with no exchange rate applied.
Canadian citizenship must be verified through a passport or
government-issued ID.
The effort was aimed at providing an immediate financial advantage, eliminating conversion stress and honoring the connection he has to Canada, said Derek Stevens, owner and CEO of the properties.
"My father went to the University of Toronto, and I was raised in Grosse Pointe, Mich., where our home looked straight across the Detroit River toward Windsor [Ontario]," Stevens said.
In addition to the At Par room rates, Canadian guests can redeem up to $500 Canadian in slot promotional play, treated at full U.S. dollar value, by visiting Club One at the properties and showing their ID. The At Par program also extends to select beverage venues, including BarCanada at the D Las Vegas, Overhang at Circa and Bar Prohibition at Golden Gate.
