Las Vegas is planning to ignite fireworks every Saturday night throughout the summer to celebrate the country's 250th birthday.
The eight-minute shows on eight consecutive Saturdays from June 6 through July 25 will be designed and produced by Fireworks by Grucci in partnership with Visit Las Vegas and Las Vegas Events. The America250 Fireworks Celebration will be synchronized to music broadcast on local Lotus Broadcasting stations, and complementary programming will appear on Sphere's exterior.
Scheduled launch locations are:
• June 6 (synchronized to pop music) and July 25 (electronic music) from Caesars Palace, Treasure Island and the Venetian Resort Las Vegas.
• June 13 (jazz) and July 11 (country) from the MGM Grand, Aria Resort & Casino and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
• June 20 (rock) from the Plaza Hotel & Casino, Binion's Gambling Hall and the Fremont Street Experience parking garage downtown.
• June 27 (R&B) and July 18 (hip-hop) from Resorts World Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas and the Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower.
The July 4 fireworks will be set off from nine rooftops across the Strip, with coordinated red, white and blue lighting and a 30-minute patriotic display on marquees.
Friday fireworks, too
For those who can't wait until Saturday, the Plaza Hotel & Casino downtown will launch fireworks at 9:10 every Friday night from June 5 to Sept. 4. It marks the third year in a row the Plaza has hosted this show.
The Plaza will also host a free rooftop pool party starting at 7 p.m. each Friday The party will feature views of the fireworks, bites from the Plaza's food truck and cocktails from the pool's full-service bar.
"Each year, the crowds only grow bigger for our free Welcome to the Weekend Summer Friday Fireworks Shows," said Jonathan Jossel, CEO of the Plaza. "Our Friday fireworks have become an iconic part of summertime in Las Vegas that people look forward to."
Every show is started by a special guest such as a community leader, hotel guest, local hero or social influencer. The Plaza's TNT Ignitor VIP Experience (starting at $800 plus tax and fees) includes a cabana for eight guests, VIP bottle service, live announcement of the Ignitor, commemorative Ignitor photo and a custom portable marquee sign to remember the night.
