Walt Disney World revealed details of new fireworks show that will makes its debut at Epcot in the fall. Epcot Forever will premiere on Oct. 1, replacing IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, which will end a 20-year run on Sept. 30.

Epcot Forever will celebrate "the park's greatest aspects over the last 30-plus years, especially the music," show director Alan Bruun said in a sneak-peek promotional video from Disney. In addition to the lights, music and fireworks featured in IllumiNations, Epcot Forever will also feature LED-lit "show kites," which are lit by color-changing LED lights and are flown in groups of three to five. The show will also include music and characters from some of Epcot's most popular attractions through the years, including Kitchen Kabaret, Journey to Imagination and Soarin'.

Epcot Forever is scheduled to continue into 2020, as Epcot makes big changes to the park throughout the next two and a half years. A new nighttime spectacular will debut in the fall of 2020.
